6/24/2023 0 Comments Emc compliance engineerAside from having the relevant EMC experience, our job opportunities usually require knowledge of other areas of electronics such as Analogue Design, Digital Design, FPGA Design, Power Supply Design and RF Design.Most of our EMC engineering candidates come from an electronics engineering background, and most roles require that engineers have experience designing and testing devices in line with EMC standards, as well as just understanding the specifications.The typical EMC expert we recruit has skills within electronics, can develop circuits using analogue and digital techniques and has the ability to work in an electronics team throughout a project, ensuring EMC compatibility.Leadership experience in managing a team of auditors across the organisation.Strong understanding of production methods and best practices, particularly in Lean manufacturing.Proficiency in CE Marking, Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Directive, EMC Directive, REACH, RoHS, and Declarations of Conformity.Skills and Capabilities Developed in this Role: Understanding of REACH, RoHS, Declarations of Conformity, and CE marking requirements.Awareness of Quality Management Systems.Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and tools.Experience in risk assessment and analysis.Familiarity with Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Directive, and EMC Directive requirements.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).Ability to interpret international standards.Experience with audit systems and auditing to a standards framework.Experience implementing and maintaining ISO standards (9001/14001).Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.Familiarity with the product approval process.Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.Self-motivated with strong decision-making abilities.Ensure adherence to internal SOPs and checklists related to compliance.Conduct audits and report findings, following up on outstanding actions.Stay informed about relevant regulations affecting the company and provide guidance.Assist in the development of a team of auditors across the organization. Manage the company’s audit program to meet external accreditation requirements.Support the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining external accreditations.Regularly update documentation following changes to products.
